Gutter is quoted per linear foot with material and labour combined, so this calculator starts from typical installed US price bands for each material and multiplies by your measured footage. Choose five inch or six inch seamless aluminium, sectional vinyl, painted steel, copper or zinc, then set the house height and your regional cost level. The result is an installed range covering the gutter itself, the downspouts (priced per unit because each needs elbows, straps and a discharge detail), optional gutter guards, and removal and disposal of the old system. It also returns the all-in cost per linear foot, which is the single most useful number for comparing quotes: two bids that look wildly different usually differ on footage counted or downspouts included rather than on rate. Size the system before you price it, because an undersized gutter overshoots at the eave no matter how well it is hung.
